What can I do for my 13th birthday?
So my birthday was coming up and my Mom decided that I would have my first party with friends ever, so I’m kind of at a loss for what to do. It’s only around 10 girls who are coming. I’ve looked online, and the suggestions I’ve seen people give horrify me( kiss the celebrity’s face? scavenger hunt? role playing!?!). Me and my friends are very active and energetic. We can be really girly sometimes, though a couple of us would prefer not to get our hair sprayed pink and get our nails done. I don’t own any makeup , so doing nails or makeovers is out of the question. As board games go, we like each other a lot, but something like Twister is out of the question, and anything childish(guessing games and stuff, unless it can be really funny), will create some awkwardness. Ideas for video games would be nice. We really like to dance, and I own a Wii. Maybe also a movie. What would you recommend for teenagers who aren’t into chick flicks?
Also, it has to be contained. It will have to be primarily in my basement, since my relatives will be cooking up a storm upstairs. Going outside won’t be possible or enjoyable, since where I live the temperature is dropping fast.
I realize that this may seem very picky and hard to give suggestions for, but that’s all I’m asking for, SUGGESTIONS. All I need are a couple of ideas for a few hours. Thanks to anyone who replies in advance!
My group isn’t the type who can make stuff up at whim. I know from most of their parties that there has to be some underlying structure, or at least a very basic idea of what will go on.

LikeDislikeI’m thinking that putting a movie on might be too boring for you girls so maybe games on the wii would be really fun because a group of you can play together and be active…
Other ideas:
Creative Contests…get a bunch of pads of paper and have the girls pair up and they have to draw a picture together as a team in 5 minutes. Then at the end of 5 minutes everyone shows their picture and you girls vote for the one you all like the most and get some kind of prize or something at the end…
Just one idea to get the ball rolling.
Physical activity:
When i was 13 I would have enjoyed learning how to do something…so maybe pick a simple indoor sport/activity that someone can teach/show everyone else how to do. I personally like Pilates, maybe look up some easy moves that you girls can do or some dance moves that everyone can do together and choreograph a dance to show to your parents when they are done cooking. If someone has access to a laptop or computer in the basement you can bring up YouTube and find videos of specific dance moves and put a dance together.
Also you girls can learn how to shuffle like LMFAO’s video or something similar.
Random mystery smell game:
Blind fold a few girls and get a bunch of things that have funny scents then put the object to their nose and see if they can identify the smelly object without seeing it. (there are funny TV shows about this on youtube). Obviously don’t put anything bad in front of their nose and make sure they don’t have any allergies first but this could be funny.
Maybe go to a toys r us or wall mart (whichever is closer) and look for games that are fun and easy for everyone to play together so they aren’t left out.
That’s all i can think of right now but good luck and I hope that kind of helps ideas form.
